Fits, works, can't beat the price! September 1, 2010 L. Chang (Southern California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It fit fine on my 10-22, with all four screws fitting. I actually ended up using the screws that came with the Ruger scope mount since those seemed lower-profile. Fit and finish seems fine for what you're paying for. Much better than the scope 'rail' that Ruger includes with the rifle. The UTG rail allows a very wide range of mounting choices, and you can actually see the iron sights through the channel unlike the stock Ruger scope rail.
Made in China August 24, 2010 Shopper 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I gave it three stars because you may get lucky or maybe not. This stuff is made in China and quality control isn't very good. As you can see from some of the reviews, some people love the rail and other describe how they had problems with the fit. That's our new way of life in the USA.
Good stuff August 17, 2010 22shooter They must have straightened out the fitment and machining issues because mine fit perfectly . Looks good and is a Solid mount for my scope rings . I like it !!!
a picatinny rail for $7.50? this one is a HIT August 13, 2010 John Blaze i was skeptical at first, that the utg rail wouldnt bolt-on properly to my 10/22, because other reviewers spoke of one or two holes not aligning properly, preventing the installation of all (4) screws. for me, this was not the case. all 4 screws are fully seated, although the most forward screw was a tiny bit tighter that the other 3. but like i said, my '97 model accepted all 4 screws. the other thing to point out about this rail is the height. before switching to the utg rail, i had a rail that only had two slots, one towards the front and one towards the rear. well this utg rail is approx. 1/8" higher than the old rail. this could come in handy if you have scope clearance issues, and cant find taller scope rings to raise your optics up. this rail will raise your scope up approx. 1/8" compared to a standard rail. the finish is a durable matt black, which i believe is annodized, but it feels like it might be powdercoated. my burris "weaver zee" scope rings were tough to install over the rail because the rings had very small knicks in the clamping area, so i cleaned the rings up carefully with a fine file, wiped 'em clean, and they fit perfectly. like i said, this item is a hit, not a miss. the 'NCstar flash hider' is a miss, cause it is too loose around the barrel. i have bought several items for my 10/22 through amazon.com, so check out my other reviews. and as always, check out nutnfancy on youtube. he has alot of information on the 10/22, and if you are like me, you can use all the information you can get. TNP has helped me, so mabey it can help you.
very good n tac August 11, 2010 Josh Jeffords not sure why but got the tactical bug love it and this is just that.
also can mount scope or light whatever and still use a good portion of your iron sights.
not for marksmen as a little bit of the sights will be covered, still works good either way.
I use UTG for most everything and recommend this to anyone with a 10/22 solid aluminum mine was drilled right and fits perfect.
this is cheaper than a generic weaver rail and made better also looks sexy.
