 Wanted a true see through September 4, 2010

This product works fine especially for the money. It clamps on tight (used blue lock-tite just to be sure) and the finish matched my AR great. The only thing that I don't understand is the reason for the see-thru riser. There is no way you will ever have iron sights on an AR that will sit on a low enough plane to use this riser in conjunction with back up iron sights so you should just get the non see thru version. Other than that you should buy this mount. Do not let the low price scare you unless you like to spend more money than you need to.

ordered this to raise a scope on an AR15, and it works perfectly. It came with 2 side rails for the picatinny rail clamp, one of which was a little loose, tried the other, and it tightened down fine. Because I could not find them in the product description, and had to guess and hope it was the right size, I've measured this rail other people will know its specs better. The rail is 6 3/4 inches (17.145cm) long, and raises the rail 1 Inch (2.45cm). Hope this helps people decide on this item. Item also arrived 4 days faster than the estimated arrival date, from halfway across the US.

Very good riser by UTG! I had to use it on my JG g36c because my red-dot sat way too low but now it's in a comfortable view. Also the see-thru aspect worked perfectly with the iron sights on the g36c!
