| Customer Reviews: Carson Binocular Case June 4, 2010 Donna (Watsonville, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Carson Binocular case was a true disappointment. Needing to replace a case for my Nikon Monarchs, I found only this product. It should not be called a "case". It's not even a sleeve. Though it may have some value in protecting bins from shock damage, moisture and dust (and dropping) are not addressed in this design. It is simply a wide strip of neoprene with tapered ends that fasten with a magnet. My binoculars, which are listed among the ones stated on the packaging for which this "case" is suited, are apparently a bit too long for the magnetic closure to work reliably.
The "case" is intended to remain attached to the bins while using them. Poor idea as the end of the "case" near the eyepieces interferes with breathing as it falls in front of the nose and mouth.
Some may find a use for this item as added protection in combination with a true case when traveling. But it did not serve my purpose.
